The wife and daughter of ousted Paraguayan dictator Alfredo Stroessner flew to Miami where they could take up permanent residence, a government official said today.

Ligia Mora, her daughter, Graciela, and Graciela’s second husband, Spaniard Manuel Gonzalez Llama, left Asuncion Thursday night on a regular flight to Miami, presidential secretary Conrado Pappalardo said. “Nobody bothered them, they never had any problems here in Paraguay, nor were they detained.”
