Closet Case

Self magazine’s publicity director Faxed us breathlessly about the publication’s 10th anniversary issue in March--giving us a peek at a feature on Judith Krantz’s 200-square-foot Bel-Air closet (which holds, among other things, her two dozen made-to-order bathrobes).

In the piece, author Krantz (“Princess Daisy,” “I’ll Take Manhattan”) reveals that each morning, she puts on velour sweat pants, silk shirt, and layers of old Chanel sweaters before she begins work.

“As I write, my body heat rises and I begin to shed my layers,” she confesses. “On a productive day, I get right down to the silk.”
