Venice : Rent Campaign Planned

The Venice Renter’s Canvass, a tenants organization, is launching a campaign from Saturday to March 25 to keep Venice affordable. The group will canvass door-to-door to gain support for rent control in Los Angeles, for federally subsidized housing and to fight gentrification.

Canvassers will meet for a brief orientation and distribution of materials at 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays at 609 California Ave. For more information, call (213) 392-2128.
