Hershiser: Right On, or Way Off Base?

Some of my religious friends have been giving me a hard time about “ . . . how greedy Orel has become lately!” But Scott Ostler’s column (Feb. 17) provided the perfectly phrased, complete rebuttal for me.

We all know Orel isn’t perfect. He may even be a little greedy. But we who can’t stand where Orel stands from April to October ought not be too critical of a nice guy who “took some of Peter O’Malley’s money.”
