From Associated Press
PRAGUE, Czechoslovakia —
A 506-pound man was sentenced to 12 years in prison for stealing $12O,000 worth of food, a newspaper reported Monday.
The 52-year-old food warehouse supervisor, identified only as a Zbynek M., was arrested in June on charges of theft and embezzlement.
“He consumed the stolen food at home, and for the money he embezzled he would buy more food since he suffered from an excessive need for . . . (food) intake,” the newspaper Svobodne Slovo said.
