CITY TREES AND FLOWERS
Many of the cities in Orange County have official city trees and city flowers. Irvine even has a city vegetable and Villa Park has a city bird (asparagus and the hummingbird, respectively). Some are logical--what else but the orange tree could be Orange’s official tree? Others are unique--Huntington Beach is perhaps one of the few cities in the country that have adopted the bottle brush as its symbol of arboreal affairs. Here’s a list of the official flower and tree of the county’s cities:
