DEATH TAKES NO HOLIDAY
According to the county coroner’s office, death is on the march. There were 14,470 deaths in the county last year, a 5% increase from 1987 and 9% from 1986. More people succumb to Pluto during December and January than the other months. Here’s the monthly toll during the last 3 years:
