Fund Drive Raises Enough to Recall Laid-Off Police

MCKEESPORT, Pa. —
Twenty-one laid-off police officers are being called back to work because a drive by residents, churches and businesses raised more than the $90,000 needed to pay them, the mayor of this strapped steel town said Friday.
