If you’re looking to get away from the neighbors, the unincorporated areas are the place to go. With only 326 housing units per square mile, these areas have by far the lowest housing density. If it’s a city you want, though, look to San Juan Capistrano, Irvine or Yorba Linda. The following list shows the number of housing units* per square mile for each of the cities in Orange County, listed from fewest to most units.
