Rebels Attack Key Afghan City

PESHAWAR, Pakistan —
Afghan rebels have captured the airport and suburbs of the strategic eastern city of Jalalabad, guerrilla sources and a Western diplomat said today. A rebel leader said he hoped his interim government will soon be able to meet in the city.
