GM Expects European Sales fo Jump in ’89

Geneva — General Motors Corp., the world’s largest producer of cars,, expects sharply higher sales in Europe this year for U.S.-built cars.
“European sales of our U.S. made vehicles should reach 33,000 next year, and there’s a number of major markets we’ve yet to hit” a GM official said.
He said GM’s U.S. made vehicle sales in Europe have mainly been in West Germany, Switzerland and Scandinavia.
