Pasadena : Neighbors Rally for Library

Share

A group of residents living near tiny Sunnyslope Library on Rosemead Boulevard have organized to fight to keep a library in their neighborhood.

The county has had a library in the Sunnyslope area for more than 75 years, but the current one-room facility may be demolished soon to make way for a mini-mall proposed by Arcadia developer Ron Rossiter.

Paul Knicker, a leader of the residents’ group, said they don’t oppose the plan, but want a guarantee from the county that the Sunnyslope Library will be relocated.
