NATION : Soviet Nuclear Teams at U.S. Sites

WASHINGTON —
A 10-member team of Soviet nuclear weapon inspectors today conducted a “short-notice inspection” at Ft. Sill, Okla., site of training facilities for troops operating the Army’s Pershing nuclear missiles, the Pentagon said.
A second Soviet team was inspecting a Martin Marietta Corp. manufacturing plant in Middle River, Md. The inspections, authorized by the U.S.-Soviet Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces Treaty ratified last year, are the eighth and ninth such inspections of the 20 allowed each side this year.
