Commercial Scene : Former New Yorkers Expand L.A. Holdings

Former New Yorkers Stephen Meringoff and Howard Schickler have added another office building to their growing Los Angeles empire, which began about three years ago and already includes at least eight office buildings and a couple of shopping centers. They just bought a 33,000-square-foot, multi-tenant building at 8455 Beverly Blvd., where they also occupy offices.
L.J. Hooker International handled the $3.6-million transaction.
