Candy Recalled Over Choking Threat
The Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday announced a recall of Gummi Pacifiers, an imported soft gelatin candy that looks like a baby’s pacifier, because of fears it could choke infants and toddlers.
No complaints or injuries have been reported, the FDA said.
Gummi Pacifiers are made by West Chocolate Handels-Und Produktions, Karslruhe, West Germany, and are distributed in the United States by Dae Julie Inc.
Gummi Pacifiers also have been repackaged and distributed in the United States by J.B. Sanfilipo & Son Inc. of Elk Grove, Ill., under the Evon’s label, the FDA said.
