America’s Cup Ruling Puts Order in the Port, If Not the Open Seas

Share

Bravo! Let’s hear it for the good ol’ U.S. justice system, huh?

Oh never mind the fact that New Zealand was soundly trounced by Dennis Conner and Co., both in the real America’s Cup in 1987 and in the Michael Fay “Deed of Miff” challenge in 1988, and never mind the fact that the city of San Diego is going to lose $1.2 billion because of this ruling.

Those plucky New Zealanders deserve it. After all they took the sport out of the water and put it into the courts where it belongs.
