Share

The $140-million Ocean Pointe Regional Shopping Center and Entertainment Complex is being planned for a 110-acre site in Oceanside.

Construction is expected to begin late this year on the 1.6 million-square-foot retail project, 2.5 miles from Interstate 5, at the planned California 76 freeway and Mission and Foussat avenues.

Old California Development Co. of San Diego acquired the property from Bob and John Siegel of Oceanside. Van Maren Construction, a Canadian firm, will build the complex, and architect Donald C. Picken of Reseda will design it.
