ISLAMABAD, Pakistan —
This Muslim nation has banned an issue of the international news magazine Newsweek for violating Islamic law by depicting the Prophet Mohammed, a government statement said Monday.
All copies of the April 3 edition of the magazine were confiscated last week.
Islam does not permit any pictures of Mohammed, the founder of the religion.
