Commercial Scene : Escondido Plaza Sold; Buyer Plans Rehabilitation

The 155,000-square-foot Civic Center Plaza, on 13.5 acres at the northwest corner of Valley Parkway and Escondido Boulevard in Escondido, has been sold for $10.35 million through John Burnham & Co. Commercial Real Estate.

ECPG Escondido & Associates, a limited partnership, was the seller, and Escondido Retail & Associates, a general partnership, was the buyer.

The buyer plans to rehabilitate the 20-year-old center and add a Sizzler restaurant by the end of the year.
