Digitext announced the sale of 74 of its computer-text systems to Merit College, a court-reporting school in Los Angeles, for $481,000.

The machines made by Thousand Oaks-based Digitext are keyboards that enable their operators to rapidly enter text into a computer for storage. Court reporters are among Digitext’s principal customers.

Digitext said Merit College would pay for the machines over three years, with $322,270, or 67% of the total purchase price, to be paid in the final year.
