North’s Trial in Iran-Contra Fiasco
I see by the latest Conrad cartoon that he puts President Reagan in the North trial as the unnamed co-conspirator (March 31). It’s amazing, since U.S. District Judge Gerhard Gesell, who has read all the material, says that the record shows “no proof that the defendant North ever received any authorization from President Reagan to engage in illegal conduct, alleged either directly or indirectly, orally or in writing.” It’s interesting to see that Conrad, not having read the material, has come to his own uninformed conclusion.
I think an obvious overwhelming prejudice has crept into his work.
