Belgians Protest Plans to Upgrade NATO Missiles

BRUSSELS —
Tens of thousands of Belgian demonstrators Sunday protested plans to modernize NATO’s short-range nuclear missiles in Europe, an issue on the agenda of an alliance meeting this week.
“Do not modernize the missiles--scrap them,” the demonstrators chanted as they marched through the Belgian capital.
