Carl David, 43; Co-Producer of ‘Lifestyle Update’
Carl David, a cameraman and film documentarian who co-produced a series of films on gay activities shown across the country on public access television channels, died Tuesday of the complications of AIDS.
Melinda Tremaglio, a partner in those film projects, said he was 43 and died at home in Los Angeles.
Their “Lifestyle Update,” a 30-minute show devoted to gay living, included information on both social activities and benefits for people with acquired immune deficiency syndrome, presented in an entertainment format, she said.
The two also produced documentaries of the gay and lesbian marches on Washington in 1987 and Sacramento in 1988.
