16,000 Turks Call in Sick

ANKARA, Turkey —
Nearly 16,000 Turkish oil workers reported sick Wednesday as part of a go-slow campaign by labor unions seeking big wage raises. The public-sector oil workers, demanding raises of more than 200% over two years, arrived for work about two hours late, the Anatolian News Agency said.
