Jewish leaders in France are protesting PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat’s visit to Paris this week and called for silent vigils to honor victims of terrorism. The Palestine Liberation Organization leader is to arrive Tuesday for a two-day visit, beginning with talks with President Francois Mitterrand. The Representative Council of Jewish Institutions appealed to the French to turn out in large numbers this evening at a Jewish restaurant where six people were killed in a 1982 terrorist attack. Vigils also are planned at other sites of terrorist attacks.
