The Influence of Trinity Broadcasting Network

Share

With dismay, I have read an unfavorable article in the Los Angeles Times concerning the Trinity Broadcasting Network.

For a number of years, this network has engaged my services in the program “A Date With Dale.” Also, I have appeared many times on “Praise the Lord,” simply to witness to the power of Jesus Christ in my life for the past 41 years.

Considering the plight of our nation, regarding ethics, morals, crime and apathy toward godly principles, it is sad that the media continue to take shots at those who are trying to stem this downhill slide.

I have known Paul and Jan Crouch and this network to be completely honest in their dealings with me. They have always impressed me with their honesty, their dedication to their work and their caring for others.

Television evangelism has saved lives from suicide, restored broken marriages, given desperately ill people hope, given deliverance from addictions. The benefits are too numerous to list. Christians are not perfect, and they know it. That is why they become Christians: to find forgiveness, peace and hope, to overcome the vicissitudes of life, through the teaching and meritorious sacrifice of Jesus Christ in their behalf. It is unfortunate that the downfall of a few, very visible leaders, should influence the media to suspect all Christian leaders and endeavors.

The Los Angeles Times is a powerful, widely read and influential newspaper. Please consider printing some of the good things that happen from Christian television and evangelism.
