Ryder Sells Unit: Ryder System sold its Long Beach freight-forwarding unit to Radix Ventures. The price wasn’t disclosed. The unit, Ryder International Freight & Customs Service Inc., served the aerospace, automotive, apparel and electronic industries from 14 locations in the United States. Its new owner, Radix, is a New York-based customs brokerage and freight forwarder.
