LOCAL : Northridge Jeweler Burglarized
A jewelry store in the Northridge Fashion Center was robbed of an estimated $100,000 worth of rings, watches, diamonds and other jewelry, Los Angeles police said today.
The Hudson-Goodman Jewelers store was burglarized about 2 a.m. Thursday, Lt. Harvie Eubank said. A rear door of the store was pried open and a battery-operated alarm was deactivated, but investigators have not determined how the burglars entered the mall, Eubank said.
Several glass display cases were smashed, and items were taken selectively, with the least valuable jewelry left behind, he said.
