Broad Inc.: The financial services company that emerged from the restructuring of Kaufman & Broad Inc. said its second-quarter net income more than doubled to $8.1 million. The Los Angeles company, parent of SunAmerica Corp., noted that interest income was up 50% to $145.7 million and that expenses were lower.
