Weekend Expected to Be Sunny, Warm

Near-seasonal temperatures and sunny skies are expected for the San Diego area this weekend, the National Weather Service said.

A gradual warming trend will raise the daytime temperatures into the upper 60s and low 70s. Night and morning low clouds are expected to burn off by the afternoon.

Beaches will have partial clearing in the afternoon, with highs in the mid- to upper 60s. Sea breezes should reach 12 to 18 m.p.h.

Temperatures in the coastal strip will range from 67 to 72 today and 70 to 75 Saturday and Sunday. Overnight lows will drop to 57 to 62 degrees.

Highs in inland areas will be in the upper 70s to mid-80s this weekend. Nightly lows will fall to 50 to 55 degrees.

The mountains and deserts may experience gusty winds of up to 30 m.p.h. today. Mountain temperatures will hit the upper 60s, with lows in the 40s. Highs in the desert will reach 105, falling into the 60s nightly.

The surf will be 2 to 4 feet, at 12-second intervals. The water is 64 degrees.
