Anti-Semitic and Nazi slogans were daubed on the walls of a French synagogue Thursday, a day after the arrest of Paul Touvier, a fugitive World War II criminal.

Roland Gerbi, head of the Jewish community in the Normandy city of Rouen, said the slogans “Death to Jews,” “Bring Back the SS” and “Nazi Klan” were painted on the synagogue.
