Ralph S. Roberts, chief operating officer of Newport Beach-based American Restaurants Group, has replaced Chuck Frank as president of the company’s Spectrum Foods division. Roberts will continue to head the company’s Stuart Anderson’s restaurants while overseeing operations at Spectrum, which includes such tony restaurants as Prego, Ciao and Harry’s Bar & Grill. Frank resigned as president of the division, which is based in San Francisco, May 22. He could not be reached for comment.
