WORLD : U.S. Vetoes Anti-Israel Resolution

UNITED NATIONS — For the second time in four months, the United States today vetoed a U.N. Security Council resolution condemning Israel’s actions in the occupied Arab territories.
The United States said the draft, supported by the other 14 members of the council, was unbalanced.
More than 500 Palestinians have been killed in the 18-month-old uprising in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
