Iran and the Soviet Union have concluded agreements on economic and industrial cooperation worth more than $6 billion, Iranian Economy and Finance Minister Javad Iravani was quoted as saying. The official IRNA news agency quoted Iravani as saying that oil exploration will be carried out in the Caspian Sea, Iran’s natural gas may be piped to Europe through Soviet pipelines and seven dams will be built jointly on five Iranian rivers. Iravani was a member of a delegation led by Parliament Speaker Hashemi Rafsanjani that returned Friday from a four-day visit to the Soviet Union.
