U.N. Chief Urges Action on Latin Peace Process
Secretary General Javier Perez de Cuellar expressed concern Wednesday over the postponement of a summit meeting of Central American presidents and urged action to implement a U.N. role in the peace process.

A summit of the presidents of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua was originally scheduled for next week.
