Harvard’s rowers beat the elements and the opposition with four impressive victories on the second day of the 150th Henley Royal Regatta Thursday.

Most outstanding was the Crimson lightweight crew, which broke the Thames Cup course record in unseasonally cold and wet conditions in the morning, holding off the Irish crew from University College of Galway.

The Americans finished in 6 minutes 26 seconds, five seconds faster than the previous set by Imperial College of Dublin.
