Iraq Kurd Party Election

BAGHDAD, Iraq —
The pro-government Kurdistan Democratic Party in Iraq elected a new secretary general to replace ailing leader Hashem Hassan Akrawi, the newspaper Al Iraq said Sunday. It said the party has chosen Ahmed Said Atroushi to succeed Akrawi, who resigned his post as state minister representing Iraq’s Kurdish minority in May.
