Mayor W. Wilson Goode of Philadelphia announced that the city is closing 62-year-old J.F.K. Stadium, home of Army-Navy football games, because of fire code and electrical violations.
The closing of the city-owned stadium is effective immediately, and Goode said the stadium may be demolished.
