Laurence Curtis, 95; 5-Term Congressman

Laurence Curtis, who served five terms in Congress, died Tuesday at a hospital here.

Curtis, 95, a Republican from Brookline, served in Congress from 1953 to 1962. In 1962, he lost the Republican primary for a U.S. Senate seat to George Lodge, son of former U.S. Sen. Henry Cabot Lodge. The younger Lodge lost the general election to Edward M. Kennedy.
