Gardening : Weekend Checklist for Dedicated Diggers and Planters

Share

For dedicated gardeners, here are suggestions from the California Assn. of Nurserymen:

To conserve moisture in container plantings, be sure to mulch.

Keep faded blooms picked off your annuals so they will continue blooming and filling the summer garden with color.

For interesting foliage color, consider planting the multicolored coleus or gray-foliaged dusty miller, artemisia, parrots beak and others found at a local nursery.
