Coverage of the Abortion Issue in Tustin

We at Doctors Family Planning in Tustin wish to express our appreciation for the superb job the Tustin Police Department did in handling the mass demonstration held here July 8.

After seeing what occurred in Chicago, Atlanta, Boston and elsewhere, it made us very proud of how well-organized and in control our local “small-town” Police Department is. As was stated in the press, this Tustin demonstration was the largest nationwide, and yet no violence occurred, no arrests were made necessary and the clinic was able to provide abortion services to all patients who chose that option that morning.

There were many other police departments represented here, and no doubt their presence and calmness contributed to the success of the crowd control. Tustin may be a “small town” compared to Chicago, Atlanta and Boston, but in our minds and based on the results of Saturday’s demonstration, the Police Department is definitely first rate!
