Pacific Gas & Electric Co.: The San Francisco-based utility said second-quarter net income rose to $208.5 million, up 5%. Revenue climbed 18% to $2.086 billion. The firm attributed the gains to a 5% increase in electricity and gas sales, and the performance of its two Diablo Canyon nuclear units.
