Program Will Mark Atomic Bomb Date
The 44th anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki will be marked at a peace program at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Los Angeles Baha’i Center, 5755 Rodeo Road.
Actress Jude Narita will perform “Little Boy,” a child’s-eye view of the moment the bomb dropped as drawn from letters of young survivors. Special guests will include Kaz Suyeishi, a survivor of the bombing.
The event is co-sponsored by the Baha’i Office for Peace, Asian Pacific Americans for Nuclear Awareness and Atomic Bomb Survivors of the United States and is free to the public. Information: (213) 933-8291.
