NWA Asked to Improve Tokyo Servicing: Japan’s Transport Ministry has asked Northwest Airlines to improve servicing of its aircraft at Tokyo’s Narita Airport. Difficulties with engines, hydraulic equipment and other parts have affected Northwest aircraft at Narita Airport 16 times in the seven months ended July 31, out of a total 43 such incidents recorded in the same period by the 47 airlines using Narita, a transport ministry spokesman said. In a statement, Northwest said the comparison was unfair because it had more passenger and cargo flights across the Pacific than any other carrier.
