More Software Sold: Sales of personal computer software by North American companies rose 13.5% in the second quarter, paced by strong export growth, the Software Publishers Assn. said. Sales in the home markets of the United States and Canada rose 8.8% from a year ago to an estimated $658 million, measured at retail, the trade group said. International sales rose 27%, it said. The survey is based on monthly sales data submitted to Arthur Andersen & Co. by 139 leading software publishers.
