Symbol of Peace Assumes a Special Poignancy
I read, with interest, “Taking Flight in Mexico,” hoping to understand if there is a special something that hunters experience when they pull the trigger, something that would justify the killing, especially the killing of a dove, the international peace symbol. There was nothing.
The photo of the man dressed in the army costume pointing the gun did say a lot but left two questions: Did he eat all of the doves for dinner and is that the natural order of things?
