Commercial Scene : Law Firm Expands Tokai Building Lease

The law firm of Barger & Wolen, the major tenant of the newly renovated Tokai Bank Building at 530 W. 6th St., Los Angeles, has added 11,000 square feet to its current 22,000 square feet. The expanded 11-year lease has an aggregate value of $2.6 million.

In a separate transaction, John Gurash & Co., an insurance brokerage firm, signed a 5-year lease, valued at $280,000, for 2,830 square feet of space in the building. Merritt Real Estate Group represented the two firms and the owner, JMA Properties of Cupertino, in the transactions.
