St. John Bannon has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of FarWest Savings & Loan, Newport Beach. He will be responsible for all aspects of the finance and capital markets operations. Previously, Bannon was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Shearson Lehman Hutton Mortgage. Before that, he directed Coopers & Lybrand’s financial services industry group.
