It Looks Like Trojans Have Run Into Problems
- Share via
I was one of the few people who believed Larry Smith when he said USC had problems. After the Illinois game, there’s no doubt he was right.
What bothered me the most was Smith saying the Trojans were going to rely on the run this year. The USC running game has never been the same since Marcus Allen left. The problem seems to be the offensive line--there were absolutely no holes for the running backs vs. Illinois.
Todd Marinovich will be fine as soon as he gains experience, but he must throw long, even if he makes some mistakes.
A 6-5 season looks pretty good right now.
