La Jollan Indicted in Meth Lab Case
An unemployed 45-year-old La Jolla man has been indicted in U.S. District Court in San Diego on charges that he ran a methamphetamine lab in his home and sold the drug to an undercover agent.
After selling a quarter-pound of methamphetamine to an undercover agent Aug. 25, John Louis Blonski was arrested Aug. 29 in Pacific Beach after trying to sell a half-pound of the drug to the same agent, Assistant U.S. Atty. Amalia L. Meza said.
After Blonski’s arrest, police searched his La Jolla house and discovered a disassembled methamphetamine lab, Meza said.
The seven-count indictment charges Blonski with making and distributing methamphetamine and using a telephone to commit a drug offense.
Conviction could mean life in federal prison, Meza said, adding that Blonski is due to be arraigned Tuesday before federal Magistrate Roger C. McKee.
